Like most young Filipina women, I was inspired when Filipina actress Lea Salonga was discovered to play Kim in the West End Production of Miss Saigon. I listened to that soundtrack over and over. Growing up in the small town of Cuernavaca, Mexico, my resources were limited. I tried to teach myself how to sing but lucky for me, a retired opera singer moved to my town and I finally started taking voice lessons at the late age of 14. After high school, I studied for a few years at the prestigious Boston Conservatory of Music. Later, to get my Equity card, I decided to move to Orlando FL and work for Disney Entertainment.

I’ve worked extensively through Disney – doing live shows, podcasts, conventions, and much more. I got my first taste of the camera while hosting Who Wants to be a Millionaire Play It! at Disney MGM Studios. From there I started doing commercials, industrials, and eventually landed a great job with one of the most reputable entertainment media colleges in the country, Full Sail. I’ve worked with amazing performers, have met incredible friends, and hope to keep working in this ever-evolving entertainment industry. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get my dream job someday... hosting E! News. I mean, Ryan Seacrest needs to start sharing the wealth.
